USD $ 3.19

The Communicative Approach (CA) had been introduced to the education curriculum through English subject since 1989 in order to achieve the target of producing the manpower that are compatible with the knowledge and also mastery of the communication skill. After more than twenty years of its implementation, it was revealed that there is still a gap between the teaching processes and the achievement of the students’ oral performance. It is being identified that the marks do not reflect students’ actual acquisition level in speaking where students still faced problems in having conversations although they managed to score A in their SPM examination. This monograph had discovered the importance of maintaining the communicative approach (CA) in the teaching of speaking skill among Malaysians’ students.
