Job Description
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities(A) PRODUCT RESEARCH
- To coach and guide engineer in product research focusing in air filtration equipment
- To lead research team on product research project in air filtration equipment
- To propose and research into new product and technology
- To design and develop new product on a timely manner
- To ensure new product meet/exceed customer requirement
- To perform evaluation and testing to ensure criteria are met
- To propose investment needed for new product development
- To ensure manufacturability of the new product
(B) TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- To coach and guide engineer in product technical support in air filtration equipment
- To provide technical support, including test report and drawing, to relevant department
- To convey technical information on customer requirement from sales to production
- To carry out the application of FM/UL standard on new material
- To qualify new raw material
- To provide support in part number and BOM creation
- To provide technical support on new product testing
- To provide technical support on material procurement
(C) OTHER RELATED TASKS
- To perform other tasks that contributes to the smooth daily operation as be referred to memo or letters.
- To perform all administration and additional jobs assigned by the superior or Management (or any official letter being issued to you and keep in your personal file).
- Support company certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO14001 and work actively with improving those areas.
- To be responsible for maintaining good housekeeping 5S, proper teamwork and coordination between all other department in achieving the compliance the company’s Quality, Environmental & Occupational, Health & Safety Management System
Authorities
- Update /create product drawing
- Approve new raw material
- Request/ Create Part number and BOM in SAP system
- Approve test report carried out in lab / test duct
Reporting To
- Manager, R&D
Working Experience
- Experience in Air Filtration Equipment
- Experience in AHU or HVAC
- Experience in metal design and fabrication
Skill & Knowledge
- PC Skills : Autocad, Solidworks, Inventor, Basic Windows, Excel and Words
- Word Processor : Create form, documents and drawings
- E-Mail : Create, send and retrieve messages
- Testing equipment
- Equipment and metal parts design
Abilities
- Innovative, Initiative, independent
- Communicate well with all levels
- Problem solving and decision making
- Good knowledge in work study and manufacturing standards
Education / Competencies
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.
